METHOD FOR MONITORING THE TECHNICAL CONDITION OF A LIQUID ROCKET ENGINE Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC G01M15/14

Abstract RU 2774006 C1

FIELD: space technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rocket and space technology for monitoring the technical condition of a liquid rocket engine during its firing bench tests. The method for monitoring the technical condition of the engine consists in measuring the current values of the engine parameters, evaluating the criteria for their dispersion and comparing the obtained values of the criteria with their threshold values, by exceeding which the occurrence of a malfunction is judged, while monitoring the condition of the engine is carried out in stationary modes of firing bench tests by processing the engine parameters by the statistical analysis method using the Student criterion, for this purpose, during the firing bench test, the engine parameters are measured at each stationary operating mode with a certain time step, while during engine operation at a given time, the statistical value of the Student criterion τ and the threshold value of τп are calculated for each measured parameter, and if the condition τ<τп is met for all measured parameters, then the normal operation of the engine is noted, and if the condition τ≥τп is met for at least three measured parameters, then the time of occurrence of the fault in this stationary mode is fixed and the test is stopped.

EFFECT: invention provides identification and parrying of developing malfunctions of liquid rocket engines.
