DEVICE FOR ATTACHMENT OF CRANIOTOMIC LID TO CRANIAL VAULT, DESIGNED TO BE INSERTED INTO CRANIATOMIC SLIT Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61B17/68

Abstract RU 2774019 C2

FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: device for the attachment of a craniotomic lid to the cranial vault is designed to be inserted into the craniotomic slit, and it contains a supporting tensioning device; the first closing device connected to the supporting tensioning device; the second closing device designed to be attached to the supporting tensioning device to complete the closure; a handle connected with the possibility of disconnection with the supporting tensioning device and designed to manipulate the device to move it from an initial position to a working attachment position. The first closing device is connected to the lower end of the supporting tensioning device. The second closing device is designed to be attached to the supporting tensioning device near the lower end of the supporting tensioning device, so that, when the device is in its working attachment position, the first closing device rests against the inner cranial surface, and the second closing device rests against the outer cranial surface. The first closing device contains two elongated elastic legs connected to the lower end of the tensioning device. Each of elongated elastic legs ends with two elongated legs arranged transversely relatively to elongated elastic legs. Two transverse legs have a shape of a tapering skid, which provides the possibility of jamming of two transverse legs and their subsequent sliding in the epidural space between the dura mater and the cranial vault, causing minimal detachment of the dura mater and minimizing the risk of bleeding. A contact surface of transverse legs with the dura mater has an oval shape. These transverse legs have rounded ends with a geometry that allows them to slide when they are inserted into the epidural space. Elongated elastic legs have an elliptical cross-section.

EFFECT: reduction in the risk of injury and bleeding.
