FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to methods for habilitation and rehabilitation for Duchenne muscular dystrophy. A methodologist-rehabilitation therapist conducts a complex of myofascial release with a child consisting of 4 exercises in physiological poses with gradual layer-by-layer stretching of tissues: 1st exercise: starting position (S.P.) - the child is lying on his stomach, there is a roller under the ankle joint. Without pressing the skin to the muscles, the methodologist wraps one hand around the child’s leg on the Achilles tendon. The second one is 2 cm below the popliteal fossa and tightens the skin towards the popliteal fossa and the heel base for 3 minutes, the 2nd exercise: (S.P.) - the child lies on his stomach, a roller under the ankle joint, the methodologist, pressing the skin to the muscles, wraps one palm around the child’s leg on the Achilles tendon, and the other is below the popliteal fossa by 2 cm and produces skin tension towards the popliteal fossa and the heel base for 3 minutes, 3rd exercise: (S.P.) - the child lies on his back, there is a roller under the knee joint, without pressing the skin to the muscles, the methodologist wraps one palm around the child’s leg from the medial side below the kneecap by 2 cm, and the other on the lower third of the shin and tightens the skin towards the knee joint and the sphenoid bone for 3 minutes, 4th exercise: (S.P.) - the child is lying on his back, there is a roller under the knee joint, the methodologist, pressing the skin to the muscles, wraps one palm around the child’s leg from the medial side below the kneecap by 2 cm, and the other on the lower third of the lower leg and produces tension of the skin towards the knee joint and the sphenoid bone for 3 minutes .
EFFECT: method provides a decrease in tone in the ankle joints and an increase in the amplitude of movements in the foot in children with Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
