SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely, to neurology, to methods for rehabilitation of children with congenital muscular torticollis, and can be used for rehabilitation of children aged 3 to 6 months with said pathology. The massage therapist performs a set of 15 exercises with the child using various differentiated massage techniques, and after preparing the skin fascia muscles, acts on the autochthonous muscles, then acts on the tensioned areas of the anatomical chains using special exercises, then performs massage following the anatomical contour of the muscle chains, then performs a set of passive and active exercises to restore the function of the affected sternocleidomastoid muscle. In the course of therapeutic massage, the functional relations between the myofascial chains, body structures are gradually restored due to the impact on the tensioned tissue and muscle areas, blood supply to the affected muscle is improved, and the amplitude of head movement is restored. The set of exercises includes the use of various differentiated massage techniques, preparation of skin fascia muscles, impact on the autochthonous muscles, impact on the tensioned areas of the anatomical chains using special exercises, general massage following the anatomical contour of muscle chains to restore the function of the affected sternocleidomastoid muscle, and consists in a sequence of performing the techniques.

EFFECT: formation of a symmetrical position of the spinal axis and creation of a favourable background for developing the motor functions.
