FIELD: instrument manufacture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of instrument manufacture, in particular, to means of protection against vibration and impact loads affecting a strapdown inertial navigation system in the operation of an aircraft. The shock absorber of the vibration protection system of an inertial navigation system includes a sleeve with an axial channel, an elastic element in shape of a body of rotation, set on the sleeve. An annular mandrel is therein made on the elastic element, with at least two points of attachment to the body of the sensing element unit, equidistant from the central axis, wherein the inner surface of the elastic element, which is in contact with the matching part of the sleeve, in the longitudinal axial section is formed from counter-directed symmetrically truncated sections transitioning into an intermediate cylindrical section from the side of the small bases thereof. The outer surface of the elastic element in the longitudinal axial section is formed from symmetrically truncated conical sections, adjoining at the side of the large bases thereof, forming an outer annular groove along the transverse plane of symmetry for the matching surface of the annular mandrel.
EFFECT: increase in the reliability of the apparatus for securing a sensing element unit to the body of the inertial navigation system, and reduction in the labour intensity of installing and dismantling the shock absorber in the course of operation.
