FIELD: gas purification.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of gas or air purification from mechanical impurities or dust and can be used in multistage dry-cleaning systems. The method for gas purification from dust includes the input of the purified gas into the cyclone through an upper tangentially guiding inlet device, the deposition of dust from the gas due to the action of centrifugal forces in the zone of increased pressure in the peripheral lateral zone during the translational movement of the rotating flow from top to bottom, with the turn of the purified flow upward and its axial output through the zone of reduced pressure of the cyclone located near its vertical axis. Next, it includes the collection and removal of deposited dust descending along the peripheral lateral zone into the lower part of the cyclone body. The axial output flow is formed by connecting several streams of purified gas from several sections of the peripheral zone sequentially located along the height of the cyclone body through annular overflow channels connecting the peripheral zone with the axial zone of reduced pressure, formed by dividing the entire peripheral zone at the cyclone body into parts in height using confusers installed with a gap to the cyclone wall one above the other, coaxial with the axis of the cyclone and made in the form of truncated cones. The direction of narrowing of the cones coincides with the direction of gas movement from bottom to top along the vertical axis of the cyclone.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to preserve the main advantages of the known method for gas purification from dust, namely, it makes it possible to improve the quality of air purification from dust and improve the performance of the device by using several gas flow purification zones with the simultaneous exclusion of its disadvantages.
