SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of protective packaging materials for protection of different items during transshipment (loading-unloading), traffic or transportation and concerns a method for manufacturing protective packaging material and a protective packet with a gasket. Material includes substrates-canvases, which are glued using heat-expandable adhesive to form inner spaces for obtaining a protective section with a gasket for expansion. Impact of high-frequency radiation (RF) provides expansion of heat-expandable adhesive in inner spaces. Water-based heat-expandable adhesives (WBHEA) include a set of heat-expandable microspheres, they are applied in the form of a pattern between substrates-canvases on a continuous high-speed production line to obtain insulating products with a gasket: useful as envelopes, mail containers and other protective packaging.

EFFECT: invention provides for obtaining ecologically and economically reasonable gasket (shock-absorbing) and insulating material for packaging, provided that homogenous protective products can be manufactured, such as wrappings, envelopes and other containers.
