SUBSTANCE: using messages transmitted by calibration terminals (72) at calibration stage (20), set (26) of support elements is determined, each of which contains a radio signature and a geographical position of a calibration terminal at the moment of message transmission; optimization stage (30) allows for the purification and/or enrichment of set (26) of support elements by means of identification of points of interest corresponding to preferable positions of message transmission by terminals; at search stage (40), position of terminal (70) of interest is determined based on its radio signature and modified set (36) of support elements.
EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of terminal geolocation.
