SUBSTANCE: transporting apparatus (10) for transporting standing containers (16) in a single row includes a first clamping belt (20) a the second clamping belt (20a), wherein the containers (16) arranged in a single row are retained and transported between said belts, as well as at least one first rotating cylinder (12) and one second rotating cylinder (14), around which the containers (16) retained by the clamping belts (20, 20a) are transported. The containers (16) and the clamping belts (20, 20a) are passed one after the other around said at least two rotating cylinders (12, 14) so that the containers (16) are pressed against the corresponding rotating cylinder (12, 14) by the clamping belt (20, 20a) lying in each case radially outside.
EFFECT: compact apparatus with a prolonged operating life.
