SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a flat steel product, a method for manufacturing a flat steel product, a method for manufacturing press-quenched parts made of a flat steel product, and a press-quenched part made of a flat steel product. Proposed flat steel product for further processing by austenitising annealing in a furnace at a furnace temperature in the range of 880°C to 950°C comprises an aluminium-based coating including a base layer of the aluminium-based coating applied by hot dipping and containing 1.8 to 15 wt.% silicon, preferably 5 to 13 wt.% silicon, more preferably 8 to 11 wt.% silicon. The coating surface has a heat emission absorption degree from 0.35 to 0.95, wherein the absorption degree is connected to the furnace temperature in the above range during the austenitising annealing processing.
EFFECT: creation of a flat steel product containing an aluminium-based coating, exceptionally suitable for quenching in a mould, wherein said coating reduces the required minimum furnace holding time.
