SUBSTANCE: in the invention, a method is described for the improvement of image adhesion to at least one substrate surface. The method includes the treatment of at least part of the surface by application to the part of the surface of a composition containing one or more polymers. The method additionally includes drying of the composition, carried out after the application of the composition to substrate, to obtain treated substrate. The method additionally includes printing of an image on treated substrate, using an electrophotographic printer, using a liquid toner technology. Substrate is treated and dried for less than about 5 min before printing on it.
