FIELD: special electrometallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to special electrometallurgy, more specifically to the production, using electroslag technology, of bimetallic ingots, consisting of a base layer of carbon, low alloy or alloy steel and a deposited layer of corrosion-resistant steel, intended for subsequent rolling into bimetallic strips and sheets. The effect is achieved by the fact that in the method for producing a bimetallic ingot, including the placement of a metal billet, which is the main layer of the bimetallic ingot, with a gap from the wall of the mold, the installation of a consumable electrode made of corrosion-resistant steel in this gap, the induction of a slag pool and the remelting of the consumable electrode in it with the formation deposited layer with a thickness of 5-30% of the total thickness of the ingot on the workpiece of the main layer with a thickness of 150-300 mm, a width of 1000-1600 mm, according to the invention in the process of remelting a consumable steel electrode, alloyed with 0.5-1% titanium, aluminum and titanium are uniformly added to the metal bath with a consumption of at least 3 g and 2 g per 1 kg of deposited metal, respectively, while remelting is carried out under slag, the content of which SiO2 is not more than 2% .
EFFECT: increasing the corrosion resistance of the deposited layer of bimetallic ingots and sheets, as well as reducing their cost while maintaining high strength and manufacturability.
