FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, specifically to the production, using an electroslag technology, of bimetal ingots intended for subsequent rolling into bimetal strips and sheets. A metal workpiece is placed with a gap from a crystallizer wall, a consumable electrode of corrosion-resistant steel is installed in this gap, preparation of a slag bath, and melting of the consumable electrode in it to form a deposited layer. During remelting, current values are adjusted in the range of 9-13 kA, and voltage values are adjusted in the range of 37-45 V, while values of supplied power are in the range of 420-500 kW, and, during remelting of the electrode of corrosion-resistant steel containing 0.1-0.5% of titanium, aluminum is uniformly added to the metal bath with a flow rate of 1-4 g per 1 kg of deposited metal and titanium is uniformly added with a flow rate of 1-3 g per 1 kg of deposited metal, and remelting is carried out under slag, SiO2 content in which is no more than 1%.
EFFECT: invention provides minimization of titanium waste and increase in corrosion resistance of a deposited layer of bimetal ingots and sheets, while saving high strength and integrity of layer connection, and manufacturability.
