FIELD: glass industry.

SUBSTANCE: certain examples of the implementation of this invention relate to double-glazed windows with vacuum insulation (VIG-double-glazed windows) and (or) methods for their manufacture. The built-in air removal tube is formed in the first substrate in such a way that, in cross-section, the first glass substrate includes: (a) the first and second sections of the channel located next to opposite sides of the through hole; (b) the first and second sections of the sealing wall between them. The edge seal seals the first and second substrates together. The cavity is defined by the first and second substrates. The spaced elements that are provided between the first and second substrates inside the chamber help to maintain the first and second substrates in a predominantly parallel position while maintaining spatial separation between them. Air is removed from the chamber in order to create a pressure below atmospheric. The first and second sections of the sealing wall are preferably heated in such a way that they lean towards each other and form a bridge covering the through hole and sealing the VIG-double-glazed window.
