SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering. The marking profile for marking electrical equipment contains a marking area (4) having a marked upper surface (6), a reference area (8) facing away from the upper surface (6) and adjacent to the marking area (4), which when viewed in a section across the longitudinal length (L) has a smaller width than the marking area (4). The marking profile, when viewed along its longitudinal length, has a constant cross-section. The marking profile on the surface facing away from the upper surface (6) has optically recognizable position marks, between which intermediate regions are formed having reflective properties that differ from the position marks.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of correcting slippage and/or deviations when moving the marking material inside the printing device.
