SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for obtaining a sorbent of the composition Al2O3/C, including heat treatment of a solution of aluminum nitrate in an organic compound and subsequent calcination in an inert atmosphere, characterized by the fact that ethylene glycol is used as an organic compound with a molar ratio of aluminum nitrate: ethylene glycol 1 : 4.0÷4.5; heat treatment of the solution is carried out by holding at a temperature of 120-130°C in for 0.5-3.0 h, and calcination is carried out at a temperature of 700-750°C for 0.5-1.0 h.

EFFECT: expansion of the range of methods for obtaining sorbents to concentrate radionuclides.
