FIELD: chemical industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a catalytic material for processing an exhaust stream of an internal combustion engine, comprising: a porous heat-resistant metal oxide substrate containing aluminum oxide, in form of aggregated particles; and rhodium-containing polymetallic nanoparticles, wherein at least 50 wt % of nanoparticles are located inside aggregated particles of substrate, wherein average size of aggregated substrate particles is 1 micron or more, as measured by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), wherein average size of primary particles of rhodium-bearing polymetallic nanoparticles is less than 100 nm, as measured by Transmission Electronic Microscopy (TEM), wherein content of rhodium (Rh), bonded to substrate material ranges from 0.1 to 10.0 wt % rhodium in catalytic material, wherein rhodium-bearing polymetallic nanoparticles contain bimetallic palladium-rhodium nanoparticles, and wherein the weight ratio of Pd:Rh ranges from 1:1 to 3:1. Invention also relates to a catalytic composite for exhaust flow of an internal combustion engine, to a system for treating an exhaust stream, to exhaust gases treatment method and to method of producing catalytic material.

EFFECT: technical result consists in achieving improved conversion of hydrocarbons and nitrogen oxides.
