FIELD: vacuum technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to vacuum technology, in particular to structural elements of vacuum chambers, namely to a heat-resistant window, and is used in vacuum systems, the operation of which is associated with cyclic exposure to high temperatures and ultrahigh vacuum. In the window for hermetic connection with a transparent optical element, a seal with a soft galvanic coating is used, located between the specially prepared sealing surfaces of the transparent optical element and the metal frame element. In this case, the principle of joint sealing is based on plastic deformation of the surface galvanic layer of the seal and its filling of defects in the surfaces to be sealed. Differences in the coefficients of thermal linear expansion of a transparent optical element and a metal frame are compensated by the compensating elements used in the design. The use of a seal with a soft galvanic coating makes it possible to obtain a hermetic connection of a transparent optical element with metal frame elements by manual assembly without exposure to high temperatures (soldering method) and the use of special equipment.
EFFECT: increase in overall dimensions of ultra-high-vacuum heat-resistant window with preservation of vacuum characteristics, simplification of the manufacturing process.
