FIELD: vacuum technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to structural elements of vacuum chambers, namely to a heat-resistant viewing window, and can be used in conditions of high temperature and ultra-high vacuum. In the window, a layer of glass-based soldering material is used for hermetically sealed connection of the rim to the disc transparent for radiation, located between one or more mating surfaces of the disc and the rim, while the glass-based soldering material has an TCLE lying in the range between the TCLE of the disc and the TCLE of the barrel which makes it possible to reduce the stresses associated with the expansion of parts by different sizes during window heating. Reducing the stresses in the connection between the disc and the rim leads to a decrease in the likelihood of cracks in the disc during the thermal cycling of the window. The use of a soldering material allows the parts of the viewing window to be soldered at a temperature below the softening temperature of the material that is transparent to radiation of the disk, which leads to a decrease in surface and volumetric defects of the disk formed during heating, and allows the use of crystalline materials for the disk of the window, which cannot be welded directly to the metal.

EFFECT: increased resistance of the ultrahigh-vacuum heat-resistant viewing window to cyclic thermal effects.
