SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gas thermal coating made of powder material; it can be used for the application of abrasive coatings to components of a gas turbine engine. Gas thermal coating for metal substrate, made of aluminum-containing particles mechanically alloyed with particles of transitional metal – molybdenum (Mo) or chromium (Cr), or a combination of Mo and Cr, includes sections of aluminum or aluminum alloy, alloyed with particles of transitional metal, while each of aluminum-containing particles contains a core of aluminum or aluminum alloy, surrounded with particles of transitional metal, mechanically alloyed with the mentioned core.

EFFECT: invention is aimed at the improvement of sliding and wear resistance of coating, as well as at an increase of its corrosion resistance.
