FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: procedure consists in applying coating by means of electric arc metallisation and in its successive heat treatment. Coating is applied in form of powder wire consisting of steel shell and powder charge of the following composition, wt %: carbon 0.47-0.51, chromium 2.0-4.0, aluminium oxide 10.0-15.0, iron - the rest. Successive heat treatment of coating is carried out by means of its heating before hardening at temperature 840°C and conditioning during 2-3 min, in hardening in industrial oil I-20 and following tempering at temperature 250°C during 1 hour.

EFFECT: raised wear resistance of gas-thermal coating out of powder wires.
