FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of radio engineering and is intended for use in radio receivers with digital signal processing that receive radio pulses and belong to the class of devices operating with coherent samples. The digital demodulator is based on an input pulse shaper, time interval shapers, a signal extraction unit, and an analog-to-digital converter. The principle of operation of the demodulator provides for a continuous cyclic push-pull measurement of the periods of the carrier oscillation to determine the moment of taking each next sample of the input voltage corresponding to the amplitude value of the sinusoid. Moreover, samples are taken with a frequency equal to the frequency of the carrier wave. A simplified version of the demodulator is possible, containing one-time interval generator, which is characterized by a lower sampling rate.
EFFECT: obtaining the ability to demodulate signals with a changing carrier frequency during the demodulation process.
