FIELD: separating.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to two variants of a method for obtaining at least one stream of a product, in particular, hydrogen, by means of electrolysis using an electrolyser (13) with multiple electrolysis cells (16.1) combined into at least one bundle (16), wherein the electrolyte is removed from the cells and divided into two phases, wherein the electrolyte is collected upstream from the pump system (17). The method, according to one of the variants, is characterised by performing at least the "removing" (F1), "dividing into phases" (F2), and "accumulation" (F3) functions integrally in combination in a filling level-adjustable multifunctional collection header (15) with a diameter from 450 to 1000 mm connected to the cells, also used as a collector before the pump, wherein the "accumulation" (F3) includes the following two functions: "buffering" (F4) of the electrolyte for a preset minimum holding time and "intermediate storage" (F5) of the electrolyte with a preset minimum volume or minimum filling level in order to maintain the minimum volume as a collector before the pump. The invention also relates to a corresponding apparatus for electrolysis and a corresponding multifunctional collection tank.
EFFECT: proposed invention uses a more compact structure.
