FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: device is an electrical reactor wherein the electrochemical cell comprises coaxially-installed cylindrical anode and a rod cathode divided by a porous ceramic ultrafiltrating diaphragm and secured in bushings. The bushings and the cylindrical electrode are provided with water inlet and outlet channels. Rod electrode is of a variable section. Device comprises at least one cell. Untreated water is delivered through water regulators into the anode and cathode chambers of the cell. Water flow rate regulators set the required relations of the volumetric flow rates of anolyte and catholyte. After electrochemical treatment, anolyte and catholyte move through separate pipelines into receiving containers. EFFECT: improved design. 8 cl, 4 dwg, 3 tbl
