SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering. Belt transmission contains driving and driven pulleys, drive belt, guide roller installed with the possibility of pre-tensioning the belt and located on the belt branch running on the driven pulley. On the power branch of the belt running on the drive pulley, with the deflection of this branch to a depth not exceeding the depth of the pulley groove, and at a distance from the drive pulley not exceeding 25% of the total length of the power branch of the drive belt, an alignment roller is installed, the axis of which is parallel to the axis drive pulley. Between the driven pulley and the guide roller on the axis, which is parallel to the axis of the driven pulley, there is a tension roller equipped with a tension mechanism. The guide roller is installed in such a way that its axis of rotation is parallel to the back of the drive belt in the center of the zone of contact between the belt and the guide roller.
EFFECT: reduction of belt wear is ensured and the probability of the belt falling out of the grooves of the driving and driven pulleys and coming off the pulleys is reduced.
