FIELD: absorbent personal care products.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to absorbent personal care products containing superabsorbent polymers, such as disposable diapers for infants and children, panties for potty training, briefs for teenagers, hygiene products for women, products of clothing for incontinent adults. The article comprises a top cover sheet, a bottom cover sheet and an absorbent core. The absorbent core contains both a fibrous material and a particulate superabsorbent polymer composition. The particulate superabsorbent polymer composition comprises a base polymer powder containing a first crosslinked polymer of a water-soluble ethylenically unsaturated monomer containing an acid group of the superabsorbent polymer composition. The particulate superabsorbent polymer composition has an absorption rate (also known as "vortex time") as measured by the vortex time test method for 5-35 seconds, a surface tension of 65-72 mN/m, a bulk density of 0.50-0.65 g/ml, centrifuge retention capacity (CRC) 23 g/g or more, absorbent capacity under load (ACUL) at 0.9 psi 14 g/g or more, gel layer permeability (GLP) 10 darcyes or more and particle size 150-850 mcm. In addition, in particulate superabsorbent resin composition articles, particles with a particle size of 600 mcm or more make up less than 12% by weight of the composition, and particles with a particle size of 300 mcm or less make up less than 20% by weight of the composition.

EFFECT: enabling an absorption rate of a certain level or higher while maintaining a high absorbency and liquid permeability.
