SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of medicine, namely, to implantable stents containing a drug coating and to a method for production thereof. Stent includes a polymer selected for a biostable or biodegradable drug coating and constituting a polylactide or a fluoropolymer, and a therapeutic agent retaining the therapeutic activity in combination with the selected polymer formed by coating the stent surface with an aerosol formed from a liquid composition with a kinematic viscosity of 0.5 cSt to 1.5 cSt, followed by drying the aerosol applied to the stent surface. The claimed stent is produced by an original method.

EFFECT: group of inventions allows for delivery of a therapeutic agent to the treatment site and control over the rate of release thereof with the maintained integrity and performance during all manipulations performed with the stent prior to implantation in the vessel.
