SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of thermal power engineering. The method for operation of an open heat supply system is that the grid water is prepared at the CHP plant and through the supply pipeline of the heating network through the heat point is sent to the pipelines of heating and hot water supply systems for consumers, the temperature of the grid water in the supply pipeline of the heating network is regulated at the CHP plant depending on the outdoor temperature according to the schedule of central quality regulation without a lower break in the temperature schedule, the grid water returned from consumers is sent to the CHP plant through the return pipeline of the heating network. Heating of the grid water going to the hot water supply to the required temperature is carried out in a heat pump, the condenser of which is connected through the heated medium to the hot water supply system pipeline, and the evaporator is connected through the heating medium to the return pipeline of the heating network. The withdrawal of water for hot water supply is carried out only from the return pipeline of the heating network, the performance of the heat pump is regulated by changing the speed of rotation of the compressor shaft by a frequency converter depending on the temperature of hot water measured by a temperature sensor installed on the hot water pipeline.
