FIELD: chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a technology for the production of potash fertilizers and can be used in the chemical industry to improve the quality of the product, in particular the hardening of granules of flotation potassium chloride. Method for granulating flotation potassium chloride includes mixing dry potassium chloride with an additive, heating and pressing the fertilizer mixture at an elevated temperature, crushing the resulting pressate slab to obtain granules. As an additive, a suspension of clay-carbonate sludge is used in an amount of at least 2 wt.%. Heating of the fertilizer mixture is carried out with the supply of "hot" steam at a flow rate of 4.0-6.0 kg per 1 ton of the initial fertilizer mixture.
EFFECT: increased strength of potassium chloride granules using a non-toxic and inexpensive additive.
