SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of veterinary medicine and medicine, in particular to purulent surgery. A method for the treatment of purulent wounds of a large area after the implantation of artificial materials includes pretreatment of a purulent wound with the 0.02% chlorhexidine solution, and drying. Then, a thin layer of powder of modified montmorillonite-containing clay containing 0.14 wt.% of silver is applied to the wound surface at the rate 1 g per 1 cm2. Powder is fixed with sterile transparent self-fixing film bandage Hydrofilm®. Dressings are performed after 2-3 days as powder material observed through film bandage dries.
EFFECT: invention provides for the effective treatment of purulent wounds of a large area.
