METHOD OF TREATING SEPTIC WOUNDS Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61K33/38 A61K35/02 A61P17/02

Abstract RU 2817920 C1

FIELD: medicine; veterinary science.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to veterinary science and medicine and can be used for treating septic wounds. Wound is pre-treated, dried, and a silver-modified montmorillonite containing clay sorbent containing 0.14 wt.% silver is introduced into the wound. Sorbent of montmorillonite containing silver-modified clay is preliminarily placed in a medical sorption sterile nonwoven single-layer napkin, and a package corresponding to the wound size is formed. Then the formed packet is placed directly into the wound. After changing the colour of the package in the wound, it is removed and, if necessary, replaced with a new package.

EFFECT: invention provides more effective treatment of purulent wounds, including deep wounds or tunnel wounds, or infected purulent fistulous passages for process limitation or for formation of intestinal fistula in infected wounds, due to acceleration of wound cleansing from pus and fibrinous deposit, which reduces the first purulent-necrotic phase of wound process.
