FIELD: instrument engineering.

SUBSTANCE: claimed invention relates to instrument making and can be used in ultrasonic gas flow meters as a primary converter. Ultrasonic piezoelectric transducer comprises a metal housing, a piezoelectric element, a waveguide connected to the lower part of the housing, a spring for pressing the piezoelectric element, a cover, and output wires. Spring has upper and lower parts made with internal thread, and middle part made with section in form of bellows. Threaded parts of the spring are connected to the threaded ends of the waveguide and the threaded element, respectively. Piezoelectric element is pressed to upper surface of waveguide by means of spring and threaded element, wherein compression force of piezoelectric element is provided by turning spring on threaded ends of waveguide and threaded element. Piezoelectric element is made in form of polarized piezoelectric ring. Body is made of two parts connected to each other permanently and tightly by means of a threaded insert. Waveguide and spring are made of titanium.

EFFECT: technical result is expansion of operating temperature range (from minus 196 °C to plus 330 °C) and pressures (up to 45 MPa) in gas medium, reduction of overall dimensions, increase of durability and reliability.
