FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of organic chemistry, namely, to a method for producing N, N′-bis(ethylene imidazoline)piperazine (1-4) dichlorohydrate based on pentaethylene hexamine, saturated and unsaturated monocarboxylic acids, and dichloroethane at high temperature, characterised by conducting the process of interaction of pentaethylene hexamine with saturated and unsaturated acids first at a temperature of 140 to 145°C for 4 to 6 hours, then at 250 to 255°C for 1.5 to 2 hours, followed by the interaction of the resulting bis-(ethylene imidazoline) after cooling the reaction mixture to 90-95°C with dichloroethane at a molar ratio of bis-(imidazoline):DHE=1:1 first at 95 to 110°C for 2 to 3 hours, then at 145 to 155°C for 1.5 to 2 hours, and removing water and impurities at 140 to 145°C/10-15 mm Hg.
EFFECT: increase in the output of the target product – a valuable organic base applicable in basic organic synthesis, in particular, as a corrosion inhibitor.
