FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing N,N'-bis(piperazinoethyl)ethylene diamine, which is characterised by reaction of 65-70% aqueous solution of N-(β-aminoethyl)piperazine (AEP) with dichloroethane (DCE) at temperature 80-95°C in an aqueous medium for 4-6 hours in the presence of stabilisers (antioxidants), followed by neutralisation of the obtained N,N'-bis(piperazinoethyl)ethylene diamine dihydrochloride with 40-46% aqueous sodium hydroxide solution. Molar ratio AEP:DCE:NaOH=(2-3):1:(3-4). The stabilisers (antioxidants) used are hindered phenols and piperazinophenols which are taken as 0.05-1% of the weight of N-(β-aminoethyl)piperazine and dichloroethane.
EFFECT: realising a process for obtaining a product under safe conditions (in an aqueous medium), high output and quality of the product.
