FIELD: damping gas pressure pulsations devices.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for damping gas pressure pulsations and reducing the noise of positive displacement compressors. The proposed device contains a housing with a central channel. Moreover, it has two stages located in series. Each of the stages contains jet straighteners placed in the central channel of the housing. Each stage is provided with a group of windows cut in the central channel, the area of ​​which is not less than the cross-sectional area of ​​the central channel, and tubes with closed ends, which are distributed on the periphery of the housing. Wherein the length of the channels of the jet straighteners and tubes with a closed end of the first stage is equal to 1/4 of the wavelength of the main frequency of gas pressure pulsations in the pipeline, and the length of the second stage is 1/8 of the wavelength of the main frequency of pulsations. The jet straighteners of the first and second stages are installed coaxially and offset by 30° in the circumferential direction with respect to each other and are located in such a way as to connect the cavity of the central channel and the cavity between the central channel and the housing.

EFFECT: when implementing the invention, effective damping of pressure pulsations of the gas flow and noise reduction during the operation of a positive displacement compressor are achieved.
