FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely, to an apparatus for measuring and assessing the primary stability of fixation of models of lower cervical vertebral segments in modelling anterior surgical stabilisation of the vertebral segment in three column injuries. Apparatus is made prefabricated and containing a 3D model of the vertebral segment, said model consisting of two full-size C6 and C7 cervical vertebrae made solid-cast with trapezoidal platforms, located at the corners whereof are holes. The apparatus comprises fittings consisting of two platforms, cranial and caudal, shaped as a parallelepiped. A spherical groove and a ball intended for contact with the upper traverse of the test machine stand is located at the edge of the cranial platform. Stiffeners extending along the entire surface of the platforms are made on the back surfaces of the platforms of full-sized cervical vertebrae. A through hole is made on the cranial platform and on the caudal platform along the central axis. A trapezoidal recess matching the platform of full-sized cervical vertebra C6 is made on the lower surface of the cranial platform. A trapezoidal recess matching the platform of full-sized cervical vertebra C7 is made on the lower surface of the caudal platform. Through holes are made at the corners of the recesses, intended for connection with the through holes of the platforms of full-size cervical vertebrae and insertion of fixing apparatus through said holes. Three spherical grooves located on one central axis and passing from one to another are made on the upper surface of the cranial platform. The diameters of the spherical grooves are made equal to the diameter of the ball. The centres of the spherical grooves correspond to the sagittal vertical axis of the cervical spine C2-C7SVA. Apparatus comprises a support consisting of a base shaped as a straight triangular prism and a protrusion shaped a triangular prism, the side face of said protrusion being a continuation of the leg of the base. A through hole intended to be aligned with the hole of the caudal platform and for the fixing apparatus to be inserted is located in the base. The edge of the caudal platform is configured to abut snugly against the protrusion of the support.
EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of data obtained in the experiment.
