FIELD: glass.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an acoustic interlayer (intermediate layer) for multilayer glasses with vibration damping properties, to a method for manufacture thereof, and to the use of said glass as the windshield of a vehicle and/or as a glass in a building. Interlayer for multilayer glass comprises two outer layers made of a material selected from polyvinyl butyral (PVB) or polyethylene vinyl acetate (EVA), connected by means of an adhesive nanocomposite layer containing: a dispersed first phase consisting of polymer nano areas with a glass transition point (Tg) from -50°C to -30°C, preferably from -45°C to -35°C; and a continuous second polymer phase called a matrix, with a glass transition point (Tg) lower than said first phase, preferably Tg below -50°C, in particular, Tg below -60°C, wherein the first phase is dispersed in the second phase.
EFFECT: production of multilayer glass containing an acoustic interlayer and use of the glass as a windshield of a vehicle and/or as a glass in a building for suppressing vibrations and structural noise from 1 Hz to 1,000 Hz and/or for increasing losses in transmission of airborne noise, in particular, in the audible frequency decade from 1 kHz to 10 kHz.
