FIELD: woodworking industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the woodworking industry, in particular to the production of a composite based on thermowood. The blanks of rough lumber are loaded in a stack into a press vacuum drying chamber and subjected to thermal vacuum treatment at a temperature from 40 to 85°C and a pressure below -0.5 atm for 1 to 5 hours. The blanks are mechanically processed in accordance with the profile of the required product. A container with an impregnating composition and the blanks immersed in it is placed in a vacuum chamber. The blanks are evacuated in a vacuum chamber at a pressure no higher than -0.7 atm for 6 to 12 hours, then the pressure in the chamber is increased to 3.5÷4.0 atm and the blanks are additionally maintained for 2 to 3 hours. At the polymerization stage, the blanks are pre-wrapped with a protective film and heat-treated by heating to a temperature of 120°C, after which they are kept for 3 to 5 hours.
EFFECT: increased strength and resistance of the composite material to the effects of wood-destroying fungi and insects.
