FIELD: glass production.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for the production of glass. In this case, the method provides for obtaining a glass precursor mixture intended for a glass furnace, where water, sand, and sodium carbonate are mixed in weight fractions of 0-5%, 40-65%, and from more than 0 to no more than 25%, respectively, and calcium oxide in a weight fraction of 1-20% per the total amount is added after at least 10 min, and where the glass precursor mixture is obtained in a solid state. The present invention relates to a method for the production of glass, in which a mixture containing, in particular, calcium oxide, and a glass furnace are used, wherein the specified method and the furnace are used, using a burner with flame directed to glass charge.
