SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the pharmaceutical industry, namely, to a method for quantifying fluoroquinolone derivatives. Method for quantifying fluoroquinolone derivatives includes dissolving a sample of norfloxacin, pefloxacin mesylate, ofloxacin, lomefloxacin hydrochloride, ciprofloxacin hydrochloride, moxifloxacin, enoxacin, or sparfloxacin in a NaOH solution, then adding a double excess to the aliquot of substances, relative to the determined component of a p-anisidine solution in a mixture of ethanol and concentrated hydrochloric acid, holding the reaction mixture until yellow staining and subjecting the resulting solution to photocolorimetry relative to the comparison solution - solution of p-anisidine in the mixture of ethanol and concentrated hydrochloric acid, in certain conditions.

EFFECT: above method allows high accuracy in determining the amount of fluoroquinolones.
