FIELD: tooling.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a gripping tool and a method for gripping and releasing an object of grip by a gripping tool. The gripping tool contains a first element containing the first gripping part, a second element containing the second gripping part, a working element capable of causing the movement of the second gripping part relative to the first gripping part in a direction parallel to the first direction, when the direction from the second gripping part to the first gripping part is defined as the first direction, and the direction opposite to the first direction, defined as the second direction, the third element screwed into the working element and screwed onto the second element, and a locking mechanism adapted to perform switching between a locked state to prevent the movement of the second gripping part relative to the first gripping part in the second direction and an unlocked state to ensure the movement of the second gripping part relative to the first gripping part in the second direction, while the locking mechanism includes a section of engagement made in the third element.
EFFECT: creating a gripping tool that can be switched between the locked state and the unlocked state using a simple operation, and creating a method for using the gripping tool.
