FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming. Tool for shaping cold sheet of initial depth features cylindrical shape and has lengthwise axis and rows of teeth extending from its outer surface. Every tooth has rounded surface with first curvature radius to contact with sheet located at or nearby tooth top. Said first curvature radius is located in direction between said lengthwise axis and perpendicular thereto while spacing between adjacent teeth in a row is at least three times larger than said first curvature radius.
EFFECT: optimum strain distribution in sheet shaping.
