FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measuring equipment, namely, to radar sensors. Radar sensor comprises a sensor unit, an electronic estimation unit, a communication unit, and a power supply unit. The body of the radar sensor completely envelops the sensor unit, the electronic estimation unit, the power supply unit, and the communication unit. The sensor unit is configured to emit and receive a radar signal through the body, wherein the body is made so that the radar signal would pass through the body. The electronic estimation unit is configured to detect an object based on the radar signal and/or to determine the distance between the radar sensor and the object, and to determine at least one parameter characteristic of the detected object and/or the determined distance. The communication unit is set to wirelessly transmit at least one parameter through the body to the receiver.
EFFECT: manufacturing simplicity, compactness, and reliability.
