FIELD: wireless communication.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of wireless communication, namely to the adaptation of transmission and access without granting, for example, in an unlicensed frequency band. A wireless transmit/receive unit (hereinafter – WTRU) can receive a set of potential resources, which can be used for the transmission. WTRU unit can periodically perform clear channel assessment (hereinafter – CCA) on a channel (for example, before the transmission via the channel). When the channel is determined as clear, WTRU unit can determine a resource for transmission from the set of potential resources. This resource can be determined based on time remained in the period of time. For example, at shorter time remained in the period of time, WTRU can determine transmission on a resource, which contains more frequency resources. WTRU unit can determine a “multiple input – multiple output” (MIMO) scheme based on a number of frequency resources. WTRU unit can send the transmission via the resource, which can include a demodulation reference signal (hereinafter – DM-RS). DM-RS signal can indicate a transmission receiver the resource used for the transmission.

EFFECT: possibility of provision of flexible transmission boundaries for transmission adaptation, provision of resource pools with access without granting, provision of an unlicensed operation, for example, using resource pools and/or performing CCA.
