Method for flexible resource management for a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) includes receiving a transmission which includes at least a synchronization signal, wherein the received transmission has a first subcarrier spacing value, determining a second subcarrier spacing value based on the received transmission and receiving initial access parameters using a certain second subcarrier spacing value, after which initial access is performed using initial access parameters.
EFFECT: technical result is increase in spectral efficiency.
