FIELD: liquid and gas purification.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sorbents and their use. A sorbent for the purification of liquids and gases from salts of heavy metals, radionuclides, gaseous compounds containing powdered carbon black, charcoal powder and chalk, with the following component ratio, wt. %: carbon black 0.14-0.16, charcoal 0.09-0.11, chalk being the rest. A method for obtaining the mentioned sorbent is described, including mixing of pre-crushed components, with carbon black, charcoal and chalk pre-dried to a humidity of 5-8%, crushed, then the chalk is calcined at a temperature of 450°C for 60 minutes, all components are mixed to a homogeneous mass, heated to a temperature of 700°C, cooled with liquid nitrogen up to a temperature of 90°C and the structure of the resulting sorbent is optimized by exposure to an electromagnetic field.
EFFECT: exclusion of tracking and delamination of the sorbent during storage and ensuring the possibility of using the sorbent to purify liquids and gases from heavy metal salts, radionuclides, gaseous compounds.
