FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to power engineering, in particular, to a set for pressure reduction in natural gas with a converter of the pressure drop energy into heat, and is applied in the field of gas distribution and gas supply for recycling the energy of a compressed natural gas flow at gas distribution stations when reducing natural gas prior to supplying to consumers. Reduction set comprises multiple turbo heaters consisting of an expander turbine and a converter of the turbine rotation energy into heat, electrical, or hydraulic energy, placed on the same shaft and located in the same body, connected in series and in parallel by means of a pipeline system. Reduction set additionally comprises a control unit, pressure and temperature sensors, speed sensors, shutoff control valves with controlled drives from the control unit. An aerodynamic heating heater, an induction heating heater with permanent and electric magnets, and an electric heater, located before and after the expander turbine, as well as a hydraulic pump and an electric generator, can be located in the turbo heater. The turbo heater comprises a pressure and speed control bypass valve with a centrifugal governor.
EFFECT: high-precision maintenance of the temperature of the gas output for consumers from the reduction set, increase in the proportion of useful potential energy of high-pressure gas for the effective production of the maximum amount of heat, electric, and hydraulic energy, depending on the gas temperature in the high-pressure mains pipeline and the required temperature of gas in the low-pressure mains pipeline.
