FIELD: oilfield equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oilfield equipment, in particular to submersible gas separators designed to separate gas from reservoir fluid, and can be used in oil production with high GOR values. The gas separator contains a housing, an inlet module, a shaft, an axial separation impeller, a sleeve and a separator head with outlets for discharging the separated gas into the annulus. The separation impeller is mounted on the shaft and connected to the sleeve. The dividing head consists of an upper fixed part and a lower rotating part. A separation chamber is formed between the axial separation impeller and the lower rotating part of the separator head. The separation chamber is a cylindrical bladeless space surrounded by a sleeve. The lower rotating part of the separator head is fixed at the top of the sleeve and mounted on the shaft with the possibility of simultaneous rotation with the axial separating impeller and sleeve.
EFFECT: ensuring high separation efficiency in the entire range of feeds and ease of manufacture.
