FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and can be used to stop bleeding from the femoral artery and/or vein in the groin area. The device for stopping bleeding from the femoral artery and/or vein contains a pressure element made of elastic material, a horizontal base in the form of a plate on which an L-shaped bracket is rigidly fixed with an offset to one of the ends of the base. The vertical part of the L-shaped bracket is 40-60 cm. The horizontal part of the bracket is located above the base, at least 4 holes are made in it at a distance of 1.5-3.0 cm from each other with bosses above them. The holes and bosses are made with internal screw thread with the possibility of installing rods in them. The rods in the upper part are equipped with handles, and in the lower part there are removable hemispherical pressure elements made of elastic material.

EFFECT: use of the invention provides an increase in the effectiveness of stopping bleeding, reducing the time before the start of exposure to the puncture area or bleeding; reducing the likelihood of postoperative complications, the possibility of taking into account the individual anatomical features of the patient and ensuring adequate compression.
