FIELD: aviation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of aviation, in particular, to designs of aerial vehicles with vertical takeoff and landing and to methods for flight thereof. Aerial vehicle (AV) with vertical takeoff/landing and horizontal rectilinear flight includes ringed front and rear propulsors or groups of ringed lifting front and rear propulsors – impellers, each connected with an independently operating electric engine. The propulsors are installed in equal amounts in the front and rear of the AV in a horizontal plane symmetrically relative to each other and the longitudinal axis of the AV. The propulsors are installed on a frame made of pipes. The AV includes a ringed drive thrusting propulsor – an impeller or a group of additional auxiliary drive thrusting impellers, each connected with an independently operating electric engine. The impellers are installed symmetrically relative to each other and the longitudinal axis of the AV.

EFFECT: improved controllability and maneuverability of flight of the AV, increased speed of flight of the AV, increased safety of flight, protection of the propulsors from mutual collisions with the ground and other obstacles.
